GFK: Mystery Shopping Jobs (Full Review)

Company Overview: GfK is a large international company with employees working all over the world. In 2016, they reported a total of 13,069 workers globally in areas like Europe, North America, Latin America, and Asia. GfK offers mystery shopping assignments in a ton of areas such as automotive, energy, fashion, financial services, health, travel, retail, technology, and industrial goods. There is virtually a shop for every mystery shopper out there.

How to Sign Up and Get Assignments: Since finding the sign-up page to become a mystery shopper from the GfK website is rather difficult, I have taken the guesswork out of navigating through the site by providing the link here. When you’re ready, click on “USA” and this will take you to the application area at the bottom of the page.

What Others Have to Say: One of the members on the Mystery Shop Forum had some really nice things to say about GfK and stated, “I know that GFK has taken some hits here in the past, but I have personally been doing smartphone shops for them lately and have found their scheduler Heather a pleasure to deal with and the shops themselves well-paying in light of what is expected from the shopper. So far I say two thumbs up to GFK!”

Personal Experience: Perhaps one reason I had some difficulty finding information about mystery shopping was due to the size of the company. They are a worldwide organization and they have a lot of information on their website. I used Google to find mystery shopper information specifically for the United States which then helped me find the sign-up page.

Conclusion: Gfk looks like a solid mystery shopping company to work for. They are present on both Facebook and Twitter and are actively looking to hire new mystery shoppers. They are a certified mystery shopping company with the Mystery Shopping Providers Association (MSPA) which allows shoppers to see that they are being held accountable to the industry’s governing body. I would recommend giving GfK a try, especially after seeing the positive reviews they have been receiving.
